Of course in reality, I got three seats and John got one, and I slept the whole flight – yay! :)

Currently cooling our heels just passing through Doha International Airport, Qatar. A replacement is currently being built, and you can see why – it is pretty small for one of the major hubs in the Middle East, although thankfully not too busy at this time of the morning.

Now that I am officially a social leper I got to enjoy the pleasures of the “smoking room”. On the plus side, one could save money of cigarettes; the fans were not working properly so all you had to do was breathe in and get a pretty good fix! Hmm, must be time for another snooze…

Now that I am definitely on my way I no longer feel quite so scared / excited, but instead a Zen-like calm has descended. Probably best that I avoid thinking about the whole jumping out of a plane at 29,000 feet with a massive 7 seconds of zero-g freefall before I reach the high-altitude terminal velocity of 200mph, hurtling towards the mountain side….
